Old Friends

8/11/11
I found myself all alone
Before I pondered life
And found you came to mind on an endless wave

Laughter flows through my veins
As your voice fills those empty spaces
Laughter that never ceased
Even though the pain came in endless waves

Every detail of your face is here with me
As I write through the rain
That comes riding that endless wave

Your title remembered me of a song performed by Simon and Garfunkel I happen to adore and always brings me the best memories.

This is another poem I can really relate to. <3

There are those who bring such vivid memories...even if they bring pain..we bask in the sweet ones that come to mind...nice work

It's nice to have those empty spaces filled.

Nicely written ... I love the imagery of the endless wave ... for me ... so many memories ride on the ebb and flow of these waves!

I like the repetition and flow of this poem - a lovely use of the waves.
