Memory quilt
I stitch each thought
Each sentiment
Together
Maybe someday
I'll give it to you
Whole

This is a very beautiful poem and sentiment....I can see the quilt and love "maybe one day I will give it to you whole." Wow. My grandma used to make quilts. I so wish I had one of them now.
beautiful poem...my mother is a quiltmaker, such a labor of love :)
I too love the sentiment you shared~

sweet one - love the stitching of thoughts
Laura, your words are beautiful! Love this idea. The ending is a 'wow.'
I love the idea of one's thoughts as a pieced quilt...a work in progress.
Yes I agree the ending ties up the loose ends nicely.
I have a friend who is a brilliant and dedicated quilter. This poem would make her day. I shall forward the link! LOVE!
What a lovely memory quilt...that last stanza was very nice ~
Laura Maria,
This is beautiful. It feels like a treasure to be passed on....You must record your words in a book:)
Best Wishes,
Eileen
I sure hope those are good memories! Or gettting it whole might not be a s good as it sounds. Seriously, the tone is this is warm and sweet, so there is no worry.
My mom makes quilts--this is just lovely. Made me smile--thank you
Lovely interpretation: all those bits of mood in a patchwork: happy, disappointed, mad at 'him' or 'her, optimistic about tomorrow. Great take.
Beautiful message ... loved it :-)
